New Website and Barn updates

Hello All, So happy that our new site is finally up and running! This took a lot of time and effort, so I must offer a HUGE thank you to our site developer Bob Rossi. We are still filling it up with photos and I promise I am working hard on our show schedule and sales pages! Back at the farm we have reached full capacity in the school barn. Caitlin has recently added a very cute Hanoverian to her small herd, his name is Eli and he will slowly find his way into the school program as his training develops. We have to thank our dear friend Craig for lending us his paint, Spot, who has been a great school addition, not to mention quite the husband horse! Just this week we began a trial with Ace, a very cute Hackney pony owned by Katie Magee. I rode him today (at 12 hands it was quite amusing as you can imagine), he is super cute, we even jumped a little. I am very excited to see if he will fit as a beginner pony. Bubbles is coming along well, she burnt out a little before I went to Disney and is now back and better than ever. She has mastered long lining and jumped a beautiful course the other day. I want so bad to find her a little eventer, since she is a blast to hack! George had a pretty bad impaction last Saturday and I am sooooo relieved to say he is all clear now, so he must return to his fan club, and working on his changes. Speaking of changes, a lot of our school ponies are starting to step up to the plate and are learning to change their leads! So proud of our babies! More and more students are coming in, some with experience some without. My favorite are former customers of Hillside, they are all quite happy with the improvements we have made. Though things are going very well, we realize we are constantly learning something new; it’s all part of the experience (especially considering the major changes we have gone through). I can’t thank boarders and clients enough for their patience and help along the way! As for myself, I have now been with hillside for 10 weeks, and find that it is fast becoming my home. The school horses feel like my own, the staff are my closest friends, and my clients are the most wonderful customers I could ask for. There is hardly a moment that I am not completely happy. I know this is only a glimpse of what may be to come. Especially with show season fast encroaching, as well as my IEA team looking stronger. Let’s keep up the pace and make this barn not only successful but a great place to be, I know it is for me ☺ Sheila
