March 11, 2012 - Mr. Skip Billingham has been in the equestrian business for over 30 years. Skip stands out as one of the most successful and dedicated hunter/jumper trainers of developing riders on the East Coast. He has worked with all levels and ages of riders from the accomplished show ring competitor to the beginner. Skip is a licensed judge, clinician and trainer. He has traveled through the country judging, riding and training at major competitions in the hunter, jumper and equitation disciplines from New York to Palm Beach. Skip has taken the Short Stirrup to Grand Prix rider successfully to the ring and helped them achieve their goals. His riders have competed successfully throughout the years at Old Salem Farm, Devon Horse Show, Capital Challenge Horse Show, Pennsylvania National Horse Show and Washington International Horse Show and the Winter Equestrian Festival. As "The Horse Master," Julie shares the wisdom she's gained by reaching her master-level CHA status and encourages all horse people to become the leaders/masters their horses want and deserve. Natural horsemanship is founded on understanding horse behavior and the idea that horses look for leadership, direction and assurance that they're safe and acting appropriately.
