Hunter Jumper...

Sheila Brady - Hunt Seat Program Director- grew up in the hunter jumper world, showing locally and training ponies. She progressed into cross training as a young adult, taking particular liking to dressage and jumpers. She rode on the Johnson & Wales IHSA team where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Equine Business Management and Riding/Training. During her education she also trained in Germany, receiving her small and large Bronze medals in Dressage and Jumping. She has been teaching since her first year in college, and has managed and taught at a large hunter/jumper barn since. Sheila has worked with a variety of riders from 5 to 75, dressage, jumpers, hunters, equitation and even therapeutic riding. She coaches the IEA team during the school year and plans on traveling to many shows during regular show season. Sheila offers training for both rider and horse, beginner to advanced competitive team.

At Hillside Meadows, we believe that a strong foundation and allowing each rider to progress at their own pace is the key to success.  Most riders began in a once a week lesson program. As their skill level and interest grows they have the opportunity to begin showing or leasing a horse. We attend many shows throughout the year, from local one day shows to multi-day USEF rated competitions. In our area there is truly something for everyone!
   

Our lesson program is by appointment only during the day, evening or weekend—six days a week. Safety is our priority. Our instructors are trained to carefully match riders and horses to give the most positive experience a rider can have. We start beginners in a one-on-one lesson. When they are ready, we graduate each rider to a small group with similarly skilled riders.
   

We have a wonderful group of lesson horses/ponies suitable for beginner through Intermediate riders.
