IHSA

Hillside Meadows is the home of the Boston College Equestrian Team. They compete in the IHSA or Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. Zone one Region Four. "The association was founded on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her financial status or riding level. Emphasis is on learning, sportsmanship, and fun. Competition plays a role but the students’ enthusiasm and team spirit are the major factors. The objective of IHSA competition is to offer the opportunity to riders in their first years of riding as well as to students with show experience. Eliminating the expense of shipping or even owning horses puts IHSA competitions within reach of many who would otherwise miss the equestrian experience." www.ihsainc.com

IEA

Congratulations to all our Amazing Riders who made it all the way to Nationals in Oklahoma and Palm Beach!

Our western middle school team was fifth in the nation!

And a great job by everyone this season!

Hillside offers both English and Western IEA, under the guidance of well trained coaches. This is a great opportunity for middle school and high school students to show at the national level. "The IEA members compete with a team or on an individual basis in Hunt Seat, Western and Saddle Seat disciplines. There is no need for any rider to own a horse. The MISSION of IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports and to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction."
